Among the site-specific eye-catching elements is the blue and purple ombre overhang above the check-in desk, made of painted and dyed Hanes T-shirts. Housed in a mid-century modernist tower, the emphasis here is on the hip and urban, with plenty of exposed concrete, sleek lines and one of the coolest hotel shops around, Poketo, an art and design collective.
